This
Twenty Pesos banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the
Philippines in 1949-1969. It was printed by Thomas De La Rue Company,
Limited, London. The front of this note shows the portrait of Andres
Bonifacio at the left side and Emilio Jacinto at the right side. The
back of this note shows the Balintawak Monument in Novaliches. The
color of the obverse is black overprint which was printed on a
yellow background.While the color of the reverse is brownish orange.
It was signed by Diosdado Macapagal as President of the Philippines and Andres V. Castillo as Governor of the Central Bank. According to Guy N. Davis, in his book entitled: Collecting Banknotes of the Central Bank of the Philippines (1988), there were 75 Million notes printed. This note belongs to the Serial Numbers from AT 000,001- DV 1,000,000.
