This 50 Centavos was issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines in 1949-1969. It was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company, Limited, London. The color of this note is light red which was printed on a light tan background.
It was signed by Ramon Magsaysay as President of the Philippines and M.Quaderno as Governor of the Central Bank. According to Guy N. Davis, in his book entitled: Collecting Banknotes of the Central Bank of the Philippines (1988), there were 76 Million notes printed.
