10 Pesos Pilipino Series 1972 Marcos-Licaros


This Ten Pesos was issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines in 1969-1973. It was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company, Limited, London. The front of this note shows the portrait of Apolinario Mabini at the left side. The back of this note shows the Barasoain Church. The color of this note is brown.

It was signed by Ferdinand Marcos as President of the Philippines and G.S.Licaros as Governor of the Central Bank. According to Guy N. Davis, in his book entitled: Collecting Banknotes of the Central Bank of the Philippines (1988), there were 1.75 Million notes printed. This note belongs to the Serial Numbers from AB000001-AC750000.

This Ten Pesos was issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines in 1969-1973. It was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company, Limited, London. One Peso, Series of 1924. this banknote is more than 85 years. This banknote shows the portrait of Charles A. Conant at the left side. Mr. Conant was considered the father of the US-Philippine Currency system, and was a leading proponent for the establishment of the Philippine National Bank.

This banknote was signed by S.Mercado and Rafael Corpus. There are 5,230,000 banknotes printed from February 3, 1925 to Sept 23, 1925 according to Neil Shafer. This also belong to the Serial Numbers ranging from D1D-D5230000D.

The color of the obverse of this note is black which was printed on a light tan & purple background. While the reverse is purple in color.
