5 Pesos Pilipino Series Marcos-Licaros


This Five Pesos was issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines in 1969-1973. It was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company, Limited, London. The front of this note shows the portrait of Andres Bonifacio at the left side. The back of this note shows the scene of new members of the “Katipunan” sign in with their blood. The color of this note is green.

It was signed by Ferdinand Marcos as President of the Philippines and G.S. Licaros as Governor of the Central Bank. According to Guy N. Davis, in his book entitled: Collecting Banknotes of the Central Bank of the Philippines (1988), there were 16 Million notes printed. This note belongs to the Serial Numbers from R000001-AG1000000.
