This Two Hundred Pesos banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the
Philippines in 1949-1969. It was printed by Thomas De La Rue Company,
Limited, London. The front of this note shows the portrait of Manuel Quezon at the left side. The back of this note shows the Legislative Building. The color of the
obverse of this note is green which was printed on a light blue &
pink background. While the reverse is green in color.
It was signed by Elpidio Quirino as President of the Philippines and M.Cuaderno as Governor of the Central Bank. According to Guy N. Davis, in his book entitled: Collecting Banknotes of the Central Bank of the Philippines (1988), there were 50,000 notes printed. This note belongs to the Serial Numbers from A 000,001- A 050,000.
