Obverse

Official Vatican Museum medal issued in 1992 commemorating the art of the Vatican Museums. This medal is .925 silver, 40mm across, weighing 24 grams. Beautiful matte uncirculated condition. However, I have it gold plated.

This is the first  Vatican medal of the series, it was coined in 1992. Opens the collection and the first trilogy inspired by the frescoes in the Sistine Chapel.

The Sistine Chapel is universally recognized as one of the most important and famous paintings in the world. The inspiration of Michelangelo is immortalized in this enchanted place!first medal of the collection could not have had symbolically a best baptism : "The Creation of Adam".

In the "straight" is represented one of the most important scenes in the Sistine Chapel: The Creation of Adam". " God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him. (Genesis 1:27). To date there is no work in the world that can better represent this revelation! The top of the medal bears the inscription: "Michelangelo".

In the "reverse" is reproduced an internal view of the "Sistine Chapel". The architectural lines run to the front wall where is painted the superb "Giudizio Universale". The caption reads "Musei Vaticani I anno 1992”.
